Colby is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who works with adults struggling to manage a variety of emotional and mental health concerns, with expertise in navigating the complex mazes of anxiety, depression, grief/lossĀ  and the unique challenges faced by the queer community, as well as distinct issues encountered by men in general. Whether you are experiencing overwhelming anxiety or the death of a loved one, Colby can talk with you about your options to better manage your distress.

Colby takes a collaborative and integrative approach to therapy, tailoring tools to meet your needs. Colby approaches therapy from a Person-Centered lens and integrates CBT and ACT skills to help clients better manage distress. No one is immune to pain, and everyone needs to learn how to manage the distress that inevitably shows up in our lives. Many people do not have a good relationship with their emotions, and Colby is passionate about helping each client build emotional awareness and understand the usefulness and vital role of their emotions.

Colby especially enjoys helping clients handle concerns with anxiety, panic, OCD, and phobias. While anxiety is a normal and necessary part of life, anxiety can sometimes become too big and no longer helpful. For some people, that can look like worrying about many different things. For others, it can be intense fear towards specific objects or situations. Learning to better manage anxiety is hard work, and Colby is here to walk alongside you and support you on your journey to freedom from the crippling weight of anxiety.

Originally from eastern Pennsylvania, Colby has been trained and practiced psychology across the country. Colby has over 7 years of experience treating adults in a variety of settings, including inpatient hospitalization, family medicine, and university counseling centers. Outside of therapy, Colby likes to be outside in the nature of West Virginia, try his hand at cooking new dishes, reading a good book, and connecting with friends and family.
